What is Chiropractic care?

Chiropractic is more then making the pain go away, its about understanding and learning the way your body works and how to take care of it while improving your quality of life.

What is the education of a Chiropractor?

To obtain a Doctor of Chiropractic degree, one must complete several years of prerequisite undergraduate education. They also must complete a four year graduate program in Chiropractic at a fully-accredited Chiropractic college. While there, they are trained to operate sophisticated diagnostic equipment such as x-ray machines and processors and state of the art chiropractic investigative technologies. They are also trained in proper examination procedures.

Before they can practice, all Chiropractors must pass a series of National Borders and licensing exams in the states they wish to practice.

Spine What is a Subluxation?

Subluxation is when the bones are misaligned or “lock up”, pinching or irritating a nerve causing pain in different areas of the body. It also effects the way your organs properly operate.

What is an adjustment?

Spinal joints that are fixed or “locked up” can affect your health by irritating or “choking” the nearby nerve. Chiropractors correct this by applying precise pressure to the misaligned bones to restore the proper nerve communications. With the nervous system working better, the healing process can begin.

What does an adjustment feel like?

Most patients feel improved mobility and a decrease in pain. Chiropractors excel at making adjustments comfortable and effective.

Spine How do I know if I have Spinal decay?

Your body reacts to uncorrected spinal stress by depositing calcium into the affected joints. It tries to repair the malfunctioning joint by fusing the segments together. This is called spinal decay. Early detection can avoid painful symptoms and permanent damage.

Isn’t spinal decay a part of the normal aging process?

Spinal decay is often seen in the elderly, some people are misled that it is normal. In fact it is almost completely preventable if the stress on the spine is corrected.

Can chiropractic care help those with advanced spinal decay?

Absolutely! While we can not correct the areas that have already been affected, we can prevent further spinal decay in those areas and prevent it in other areas or the spine.

Can spinal decay be reversed?

When it is detected at an early stage, chiropractic care can prevent more damage and help the affected areas function better and with less discomfort. In the first stage, many patients see the spinal curve is restored and improved mobility. The main focus of chiropractic care is not only to treat the symptoms but to also fix the problem. The problem, more often then not, is a misaligned spine and poor nerve function. Our goal is to fix the misalignment to improve the nerve function for better over all health.
